Response to Letter to the Editor: “Milk and no sugar”
We would like to thank Dr. Chiu et al. for their comments. We respond to the comments made and appreciate the practical difficulties. Having said that, beverages are produced at a standardised temperature by most coffee houses . Although there is a broad amount of time to cool beverages, we wish to highlight the fact that there is risk of burn for a significant time – much longer than many people would expect. We accept defining the end point of a beverage’s risk of causing burn injury is very difficult. (Source: Burns : Journal of the International Society for Burn Injuries)
