Breast Ptosis Managed by Mastopexy Using the Triple Flaps Procedure
Abstract Breast ptosis is a highly unattractive appearance of the breast. In the mind, it is associated with aging, multiple pregnancies,
lactation, and senile changes. Its correction by mastopexy presents one of the greatest challenges to the breast surgeon aiming
at a pleasant full conical shape and stability of the results. The authors present their mastopexy procedure using a triple-flap
method based on the principle of a superior pedicle flap mammaplasty. The technique, presented in detail, basically consists

Key Points in Mastopexy
Abstract Breasts represent femininity and any change of shape may affect their appearance. Breast ptosis may be caused by several factors,
including significant weight loss, pregnancy, long breastfeeding periods, and involution of the postmenopausal breast tissue.
Breast ptosis may be associated with breast hypoplasia; thus, in case of a mastopexy with or without the use of implants being
indicated, several considerations have to be taken into account: the wishes of the patient, age of the patient, degree of
ptosis, parenchymal volume, covering tissue, quality of the tissue, pocket implant, shape and content of the implant, and
resulting scars.

Injectables Offer Post-surgical Options For Rhinoplasty Patients
Rhinoplasty, sometimes referred to as a “nose job,” can improve the shape, size and general appearance of the nose.
